Is LPX slower production-wise or something? Is there a new learning curve? Is apple dumbing it down to cater for the noobies? L9 has been out for years, X is fairly new.
It's reasonable to see a ton more videos for 9. Logic 9 has some advantages over X, but X also has advantages over 9. How's that for a comprehensive answer?
Yes of course all the existing videos made before fall were L9 based. And the large installed base of L9 and the familiarity of the older version means even some new clips will reference L9. As mentioned previously, Logic 9 is much older so of course there is more material available. Also Logic Pro X was not that good a while ago but logic pro x vs logic studio 9 free a couple of last patches, it has become much better and more stable to work.
I would definitely recommend X over 9! I've decided to stick to LP9. Primarily because all my plugins are 32bit. The interface is a little less snappy than L9 but has improved over the past few updates.
